So, I’ve grown up with people who have been a bit ahead of their time when it comes to making mindful environmental choices, living sustainably and their impact on the world around them. It’s no wonder, then, that the way I live my life looks a little different from others.
Where it all began
A very long time ago, way way before I was born, my granny was a bit of a maverick when it came to being resourceful. Or a least it seemed that way to me, but I know that almost everyone lived that way back then, it was just their way of life. But when did we all start relying on being able to just “buy” everything we wanted rather than create or grow it?
What was she up to?
Well, as my granny would have been 119 by now, and there were bits of information that I couldn’t remember. I chatted to my dad about the sorts of things they used to get up to in the early/mid 20th century, which many people no longer seem to do.
